Eyes? Glasses?

I'm trying out glasses for up-close stuffs. So far, its awesome. But I've been having the strangest side-effect - after I take them off, I see patters of light and darkness. You know, when you look at a light and then look away and blink your eyes, you can see the patterns of light and darkness? Same thing, except I'm not looking at any light sources other than my displays, and the patters aren't in rectangles with 8:5 (aka 16:10) aspect ratios.

Never had this before the glasses, so the glasses are a viable answer, but could it also be something else?
